Emma's pride and joy.
A proud gardner!
Cucumbers...
plus a few extra ingredients ...
and you get Pickels!
Emma is my little green thumb. She has been playing in the dirt since she was sitting up. One of my favorite pics of Em is where she is about 6 months old and has a fistfull of dirt in her mouth. It's a pre-digital camera pic and I don't have a scanner to show you. Maybe someday. Anyhow, each year she is determined to grow anything and everything. It all depends on how much space we find for her. It's not much but she loves it. This year we grew cucumbers for the first time and we have been delighted with the results.

Great pictures - I'm sitting looking at them in my hotel in Des Plaines, IL - between downtown Chicago and a little place called Rockford! I'll be out again Oct. 6 - 10. Should I bring Rebecca with me sometime? Would be fun to head out your way some time! So close! I wish I had the whole family with me!
Way to go, Emmado! We must come someday and sample your harvest...pickles yum yum : )
We miss you all and are praying for you!
Love ya,
Jess, Nae, Philip and David
I would love it if you brought Rebecca out! How often are you in the area? Des plaines is just an hour away! Miss you guys!

In Des Plaines quite a bit lately - it's the place that I travel to now. And next year - there are some big projects here - so it will be an on-going thing as long as I am with Honeywell. I'll bring out - oh shoot - while I'm at it - why don't I just bring the whole gang! :)
Hi Emma,it's Mrs. Keenan!!When I was your age my mom had a huge and I mean huge garden.I had my own section of pumpkins that I took care of.When it was time to harvest,I would load them into our red wagon and walk the neighborhood and sell them for about 10 cents each.I usually made more in tips because they liked me:) I have great memories of gardening with my mom and grandparents:) Great job on your cucumbers!!! Miss you and love you lots!!! Mrs.K :) :)
Rachel says Hi.
Loved your pickle photos Emma. I especially loved the one with the fabulous mud room in the back ground. You are such a beautiful girl. You look just like your mom. Who is elastigirl? Is that because you were pregnant so many times you felt like elastic?
Love you,
Cath
P.s. I may have sent this message twice.
emma, you beauty. That is so great!
