First Official Mini Triathalon

Here I am at the end of a 300 yard swim, 15 mile bike ride, and 3 mile run. Luke and Lis(she's off to the side and missed the picture) ran the last mile with me and the rest joined in at the very end(Liv is trailing behind) to get me over the finish line.
This is Aimee, a friend I met at the gym. She has 4 kids and is a stay at home Mom like me. We work out together and decided the tri would be a great challenge to accomplish together. It was a blast.

This is my support crew(Best supporter taking the picture...). They were yelling "Go Mom" the entire time. They piled in the car and followed me everywhere. Everyone loved them and commented what a great family I had. I agreed!

I finished 2nd in my age group and 9th female. I was happy to just get over the finish line!

Betsey! It's Morgan (Light) Higgins! Look at you! You're all ripped and stuff. I want to be ripped! Maybe I need to do some sort of triathalon. Or just walk somewhere. :)

Betsey, Love the pictures! Its great that the kids were able to run with you at the end. They'll never forget that. What a great way to teach them how to be each other's greatest cheering squad. I love seeing families working the way God intended them to-together for His glory!!! Yea! Have you got any more races in the plans? Love, Rebecca

Yes, Rebecca I loved having the entire family a part of it last weekend. I keep thinking about what you said about making sure we are each others biggest fans. Wise words! This next weekend we have volunteered as a family to hand out water at a local YMCA race. Then I got conned into running it. I really don't like running but I am doing it anyway...it's a 10K. We'll see. :)
